The latest Designer Talk brought together an amazing panel of Web3 artists to discuss the future of creativity in the decentralized space. This Twitter Spaces event was packed with actionable insights on building communities, mastering social media, and gaining creative autonomy.

The discussion featured three notable Web3 artists—@amusvision, @egodead, and @arrogantkei—who each shared personal experiences and valuable advice for thriving in this new frontier.

As a follow-up to our previous event on building an audience and attracting clients, this session expanded on those ideas with even more practical strategies for success.

We kicked off the discussion by allowing the artists to introduce themselves and give the audience a moment to reflect on their creative journeys.

Spotlight on Arrogant Kei: A Digital Surrealist Bridging Art and Community

Keigan Harrington, better known as "Arrogant Kei," is a visionary digital artist whose work seamlessly blends the ethereal with the emotional. Drawing from his multicultural background—originally from Trinidad and raised in Brooklyn and Atlanta—Kei’s art explores themes of spirituality, interconnectedness, and the expansion of consciousness.

His signature technique combines 3D modelling with tools like Photoshop and Procreate, creating intricate, otherworldly visuals inspired by Greco-Roman sculpture and angelic imagery.

Beyond his stunning artwork, Kei is a passionate advocate for the creative community, using his social media platforms to uplift fellow artists and foster the growth of NFT and 1/1 artist communities.

His contributions to Web3 extend beyond art, as he continues to collaborate and push boundaries with innovative collections in fashion as well as art. Looking ahead, Kei plans to bring his digital creations into the physical realm through gallery exhibitions as he ventures through the world of fashion, making him a key figure in both Web3 and traditional art spaces.

Spotlight on Amritpal Dhaliwal: The Emotion Driven Designs of Amus Vision

Amritpal Dhaliwal, known as Amus Vision in the digital art world, is a rising star in the NFT space. At just 22 years old, the San Francisco-based designer has captivated audiences with his raw and haunting depictions of isolation, drawing heavily on his personal experiences during the pandemic.

Encouraged by his older brother, Amu entered the NFT world a year and a half ago, where his persistence and passion for storytelling led to a rapid rise in recognition.

Amu’s breakthrough came with the sale of his piece Seeking False Hope for $11,545 on Foundation, followed by significant success on SuperRare.

His work, marked by a deeply emotional portrayal of the human experience, earned him a coveted spot in Times Square, showcasing his art to the world. Despite his young age, Amu has solidified his place in the digital art community, proving that perseverance and creative vision can pave the way to extraordinary success in Web3.

As he continues to push his boundaries, Amu is set to be one of the most exciting voices in the evolving NFT space.

Spotlight on Nishant Malhotra: The Visionary Behind Ego Dead

Nishant Malhotra, known in the art world as Ego Dead, is an Indian American artist whose work delves into the complexities of self-identity, ego, and consciousness. Raised in the Bay Area and now based in New York City, Nishant draws inspiration from ancient spiritual texts like the Bhagavad Gita and The Tibetan Book of the Dead, which inform his meditative exploration of the human experience and the universal quest for oneness.

Nishant’s surreal expressionist paintings are known for their vibrant colors and intricate symbolism, offering a deeply reflective journey into the nature of existence.

Beyond his fine art, Nishant has also made his mark in the world of design, creating merchandise for well-known artists like GT, Shaggy, and Wyclef Jean. He is currently expanding his creative expression through the launch of his own line of art wearables, merging fashion with the profound themes that define his artistic vision.

As Ego Dead, Nishant continues to push the boundaries of what art can express, using Web3 as a platform to connect deeper with audiences and explore the interconnectedness of life and creativity.

Building Authentic Connections: How Web3 Empowers Artists to Engage and Expand

All three journeys are interconnected to the same path because the common ground between the creators emphasizes how community is central to Web3's ethos.

Unlike traditional platforms, Web3 empowers artists to directly connect with their audience, removing middlemen and creating spaces where creators can truly own their work and relationships.

Kei shared valuable insights on how he built his community in Web3. “It’s about authenticity. Your audience can sense when you’re genuine. For me, it was important to share not just my work, but also my journey—challenges, successes, everything. That’s what resonated.” Kei’s emphasis on transparency and storytelling highlights the shift in how artists engage with their fans in this space.

Amu discussed how they leveraged the decentralized nature of Web3 to reach global audiences. “In Web3, borders don’t exist the same way they do in Web2. Collaborating with artists from different cultures has expanded my network and introduced me to opportunities I wouldn’t have had otherwise.”

Mastering Social Media Strategies for Personal Branding

In a fast-moving space like Web3, staying relevant can be challenging, but our panel had some great tips for mastering social media. Nishant shared their strategy for keeping audiences engaged: “Consistency is key. But beyond that, it’s about providing value—whether through tutorials, behind-the-scenes looks, or engaging in meaningful conversations with your community.”

Kei also offered advice on branding, highlighting the importance of a unified digital presence.

“Your social media should be an extension of your brand. The followers don’t matter, the importance lies within the genuinity of your community. Whether it's Twitter, Instagram, or Discord, ensure your voice and vision are consistent and authentic across platforms.”

Gaining Digital Autonomy as a Creative

One of the most exciting aspects of Web3 is the creative autonomy it grants artists. Amu spoke passionately about how NFTs and decentralized platforms have revolutionized their artistic process: “Web3 lets me create without boundaries. I can experiment, take risks, and my audience is right there with me, supporting and even owning a part of my creative journey.”

Kei also reflected on how NFTs have unlocked new ways of interacting with fans. “It’s a whole new dimension of engagement. People don’t just follow you—they invest in your work, they become a part of your story.”

In the traditional art world, artists often face barriers like gallery rejection and rigid management structures that limit creative freedom. NFTs have disrupted this system, offering artists direct access to global audiences without the need for gatekeepers. By bypassing traditional models, NFTs provide a sense of autonomy and encourage bold experimentation, allowing creators to explore new mediums and ideas.

Additionally, artists can maintain control over their intellectual property and benefit from resale royalties. This shift empowers artists to take charge of their careers, fostering a more inclusive and innovative art ecosystem.

At Sorbet, we’ve embraced this philosophy of autonomy by providing a platform that supports creators with secure, milestone-based escrow systems and a zero transaction fee model. Sorbet allows freelancers to engage directly with clients, ensuring that their creative and financial freedom is never compromised.
